• Performance: Bobby Broom is part of an elite lineup selected by Herbie Hancock to perform at the main event, featuring local, national, and international artists including: Herbie Hancock, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Jacob Collier, Kurt Elling, Marcus Miller, Terence Blanchard, Gregory Porter and Dianne Reeves.
• Host City: Chicago, Illinois, is the designated Global Host City for 2026, with events taking place throughout the city from April 1 to May 2, 2026.
• Collaborations: Broom will be joined by fellow Chicago jazz artists, including Marquis Hill, Joel Ross, and Jahari Stampley.
• Broadcast: The All-Star Global Concert on April 30 will be broadcast live worldwide on YouTube, Facebook, and jazzday.com. 
• As of early 2026, Broom is also noted for having his album More Amor at the top of the JazzWeek North American Radio chart. 

Guitarist Bobby Broom pays tribute honoring a saxophone colossus with the May 1 release of Notes of Thanks on Steele Records. The album is an exploration of the compositions of the great Sonny Rollins, in whose bands Broom recorded and toured for a combined 11 years. The guitarist is joined on the adventure by his own longtime collaborators, bassist Dennis Carroll and drummer (and fellow Rollins alum) Kobie Watkins.

Bobby Broom and the Chicago Jazz Orchestra remember Wes

Stand!, the 2001 debut recording by the Bobby Broom Trio (featuring Dennis Carroll and Dana Hall) has been digitally remastered and is available once again on iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music and all major streaming platforms. Plans are also being made for a limited edition vinyl release for the album’s 25th anniversary next year.

While in Greece this past February, Bobby conducted a two-plus hour master class that seems to have taken the internet by storm, garnering 13K views in the two weeks since it was posted to YouTube. Watch an excerpt here that links to the full video:
